GUEST BOOK
Here the winters are long and harsh and the summers are just as bad in their own way. A cowboy had to be tuff just to survive in these horrid conditions. It's here in the Badlands is where we decided on our band name. So in 1982 we became the Badlands Band. Like the old cowboys we have had to be tuff too. We had to be tuff on our self's. Our goal is to play the best music we can and try to have something for everyone. We hope you enjoy our music.

This is the 1982 Badlands Band formed
in Bismarck, North Dakota. The Members On the back row is Jessie Conner and on the right is Frank Zacker. On the front row is Marty Howington and on the right is Wayne Douglas Kabanuck. At that time the band toured mostly the upper Midwest in states like North and South Dakota Montana, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Nebraska and played the major cities of those states. Jessie played flat top guitar and done a lot of singing. Frank was the drummer and played the hardest of us all. Marty played lead guitar and keys and also did some singing. Wayne was the lead singer and also the leader of the band. He was also a great singer. Through the years members have come and gone and with that our music changed too. The recent Badlands Band added some Classic Rock, some Blues and just a little Jazz. Whatever the music was, Badlands Band strived to give their best performances nightly 1983 brought two new faces. On the drums was Tim Howington Playing bass guitar was Brian Howington Marty is still on lead guitar and Wayne is lead singer. The most recent Badlands members you can see by clicking the photo button or the 4th of July button. The 4th of July was at the Volusia County Fairgrounds at Deland Florida, in 2005.

This was the Badlands Band Tour Bus. It was a 1955 GMC Motor Coach. We not only toured in this bus but we sometimes had to live and cook in it.
